Two Belleville Teachers Return to Work

Two Belleville teachers from School 8 who had been suspended both had their suspensions overturned, and were allowed to return to work last week. I was holding onto this story until I knew more details and got official confirmation on the outcome.

One teacher returned after a hearing in which the state-appointed arbitrator gave Superintendent Feldman what I can only describe as a thorough browbeating, and calling into question her credibility. Boy, do I wish I were a fly on the wall for THAT conversation.

The second teacher was apparently allowed to return as a direct result of our state monitor, Thomas Egan, dismissing the suspension.

Methinks Mr. Egan knows exactly what’s been going on in this half-baked political fiefdom we call a school district.

I’m tellin’ ya, ladies and gentlemen….the tide is turning indeed.
