We are very pleased to announce the launch of EssexWatch.com.
This new website represents our official transition into the second phase of our civic engagement project, which began a year and a half ago with NutleyWatch.com.
For those who have been following us since last year, it’s been one heck of a wild ride already. I can’t wait to begin telling all of you about the real stories behind the stories.
Hold that thought for now…
EssexWatch.com is an expandable platform for our information network. Aside from user memberships, absolutely everything has been imported from NutleyWatch.com into this site. In short order, we’ll be retiring NutleyWatch and archiving the old blog, which is now redundant, in favor of using this one going forward.
So, please be sure to update your bookmarks!
Also, be sure to keep a close eye on our Facebook page. We use social media to keep our readers up to date on our issue campaigns, and new developments around town that pertain to community advocacy and open government initiatives.
As this is a “soft launch” for EssexWatch.com, you’ll be seeing much more functionality and more pages appearing on the site within the next couple of weeks. In fact, it’s likely that by next weekend alone, the site will grow considerably.
For now, we have well over 200 articles, a document library, several dozen videos of public meetings, and a new community discussion forum.
Feel free to browse around, create a free membership, and join a community of like-minded residents working together to bring about a positive change in their respective Essex County townships.
