Belleville Board of Education Meeting (Video) – August 11, 2014

Here is the video recording of tonight’s Board of Education meeting at Belleville High School. And oh, how sweet it is!

Watch as NJ State Monitor Thomas Egan stuffs the Board – the figurative equivalent of being mushed in the face – as they try to play games with the resolutions on the table, drawing cheers from the audience. There were several glorious moments this evening, which are mostly during the resolutions portion of the meeting (the second video).

Not so glorious is the safety railing that you’re now staring at in the video. I’m guessing there’s a story behind such a bizarre eyesore being placed right in the middle of the stage, gentlemen?

Has there been a rash of incidents where Theater Arts students are leaping off the stage to start a mosh pit after school plays or something? Is the Board expecting the audience to bum rush them for a public lynching in a future meeting? Actually, come to think of it, these days it’s not hard to imagine that scenario actually happening.

Somehow I have a feeling we’re better off not knowing what the railing is all about. Moving on.

The video is in two parts, and both will be posted here as they are finished uploading.

Enjoy the show.
