Nutley Police Department’s “Operation Take-Back” This Saturday, April 26

 

Operation Take-Back will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Police Headquarters, 228 Chestnut Street.

The Nutley Police Department will participate in a program allowing residents to turn in unused or expired prescription medications.

The program, called Operation Take-Back, is a national initiative encouraging residents to turn in unused or expired prescriptions, controlled substances and over-the-counter medications for safe disposal.

Residents will be able to give the drugs to law enforcement officials without providing personal information.

Afterward, officers will dispose of them in an environmentally safe manner.
